Starting January 1, 2026 private consumers in Germany can benefit from a governement subsidy up to 6000 € when purchasing or leasing (for a minimum of 36 months) an electric vehicle provided that their CO₂ emissions do not exceed a value of 60 g CO₂/km (type approval value) or their electric range is at least 80 kilometers.
The exact subsidy amount depends on vehicle type, family size, and income level.
